Desert Vipers Strengths in ILT20 Season 5

They just won it

The 46-run final is a fact. Naseem Shah and David Payne, who took three wickets each that night, are still the kind of bowlers a champion side wants.

A new batting captain

Babar Azam, in his first ILT20 season, has the armband. Fakhar Zaman is the other top-order Pakistan batter on a reported USD 80,000 deal.

The fee shape is unusual

Payne at a reported USD 150,000 cost more than Babar, Naseem, Fakhar or Shadab. The champions did not need to win the auction room.

Desert Vipers Weaknesses and Concerns

Sam Curran is not on the list. Any plan that still ends with him is last season's plan.

Babar has not played this league. The captaincy is a fact. The volume of runs is not, yet.
